Alarm

The SRT406i can be configured to handle a variety of alarm types. The large alarm button is usually used for primary alarms initiated by the user. In addition, the function buttons can be used to create less critical alarms for secondary alarm receivers. Automatic alarms such as ManDown (based on the device's rotation and orientation) and timer alarms (based on a timer function) are of course also supported.

Indoor positioning

The SRT406i supports indoor positioning based on two-way communication with RF tags (SRT334i/SRT334i2). An area where GNSS positioning does not function satisfactorily can be equipped with RF tags. Each tag has its pre-programmed position information, which is received by the SRT406i when it enters the tag's coverage area. The size of the coverage area can be adjusted using the tag's transmission level. With the help of smart internal functions, the SRT406i can itself determine the most suitable positioning method based on the environment it is in.

It is also possible to configure the SRT406i so that it uses a specific positioning method based on time or geographical area. For example, the unit can be configured to switch on indoor positioning during office hours on weekdays while automatically selecting the positioning method at other times.

Another example is the ability to programme the SRT406i to select its positioning method based on geographical area. When the device is outdoors and GNSS positioning is working satisfactorily, it can determine when it enters a predefined geographical area. When this happens, the device switches to indoor positioning.

Send alarms via RF routers

In some areas, it is not only GNSS coverage that is a problem, but GSM coverage may also be lacking. Such an area can be equipped with combined RF tags and routers (SRT334i2). During an alarm event, the SRT306i uses the SRT334i2 for both positioning and relaying the alarm message to an outdoor-mounted gateway with GSM coverage. From there, the alarm message is forwarded to the alarm receiving centre. Confirmation that the alarm has been delivered is also sent back to the alarming device.

Display

The SRT406i is equipped with a display, allowing you to interact more easily with the device. Via the device menu, you can make basic settings as well as view status messages and diagnostic information. And during an ongoing alarm situation, you can follow the course of events on the display.

Reporting

With the SRT406i, you can choose the alarm reporting format that suits you. It supports the most common standard formats as well as giving you the ability to create completely unique report formats. Alarm reports can be sent to several different recipients and can thus meet tough redundancy requirements.
